Conference MISTO! in Uzhgorod is focused on up-to-date topics in culture and creative industries and urban development led by cultural and creative endeavour.

Culture and Creative industries are getting more and more to the center of the general strategies for Cities and their development. Culture production plays important role as competitive advantage for positioning cities as hubs in their regions and countries as well on international level.
Uzhgorod with its strategic position on ukrainian western border is the gate to  EU and part of the Europe  which is seeking new collaborations and partnerships with Ukraine and its cultural, creative and economical potential.
Today more than 50% of world population lives in urban areas and so cities are getting more more into the center of interest. They are key drivers for national economies. Talent and activite of citizens, cultural organisations, free artistic expression and design of public space contribute to better and positive development of the urban areas and so to the overall perfomance of the nations.

Conference MISTO! has ambition to open up discussion and help to empower cultural operators, artists and people in creative industries fullfill their ambitions to contribute to the city development and future.
We would like to challenge the ways how to engage more cultural initiatives into city planning,
We will discuss the possibilities for collaboration and effective communication within the cities culture and creative scene as well as  possibility for cross-regional, national or international collaboration
We will challenge the questions of sustainable development, cultural production, and public space design and development. and how to work on this topics together with municipality.
